Best Photoshop manipulation tutorials on YouTube –
Best Photoshop manipulation tutorials for beginners on YouTube
1. Psdesire
The best thing about Psdesire is that they explain to you what tool they are using and why, which not only gives you ideas for future projects but you also understand how different tools can do the same thing and give you the same results. It is the number 1 reason why this channel and the Blue Lighting Tv are on my list.
2. Blue lighting tv
The owner of this channel, Marty Geller, has illustrations and covers that have appeared in Psychology Today and is an Emmy award winner. It is another great channel with more than 900k followers. The problem with most photo manipulation tutorials is that they do not give instructions which can be a little difficult for beginners. But this is not the case here. He explains every step just like Psdesire.
3. Benny productions
This channel is for advanced and intermediate users who know which tool is used how and for what. He does not have a lot of tutorials, but you can get a lot of inspiration from his work and some idea of what tool he is using. He makes his own sketches and then edits them in Photoshop. But this channel is not for beginners.
4. Piximperfect
He does not have a lot of ps manipulation videos, but he has a lot of tutorials in which you can clear your doubts and what tool is best for what. So even though he does not have ps manipulation videos, you will get a lot of ideas on how you can use different tools for your own manipulation. So whenever you feel stuck about any feature, let’s say you are not sure how to add shadow to your image, just type shadow Piximperfect, and you will get a detailed video on how to use the tool. It is a great way to learn Photoshop manipulation because here, you are not just copying all the steps; you are learning how to use a particular tool and applying that to your work.
5. Photoshop tutorials by Webflippy
After having a little bit of experience in Photoshop manipulation, check this channel. It is for intermediate users as the channel does not explain in much detail as the above two. But they do have subtitles for the steps, and it is easier to understand and follow.
6. Rafy A
Next on our list is RafyA, an amazing digital artist. His videos are easy to understand if you got some idea about ps manipulation. You can also practice the tutorials with the same material as he gives links to all the stock images he uses. This channel is also for intermediate/advanced users.
7. Photoshop Tutorials| Photo effects
Even though this channel does not post regularly, there are a lot of photo manipulation tutorials on this channel. He also explains the tools he is using and for what effect, which is again great for beginners.
Best Paid Photoshop Manipulation Courses
Skillshare
There are tons of Photoshop courses on Skillshare.
My favorite are these two by Lindsay Marsh –
There’s a free 7-day trial in which you can see if you like any courses and then it is for around Rs 1700 for one year.
Udemy
Aaron Porter – https://www.udemy.com/course/photo-compositing-and-manipulation-in-photoshop-cc/
Similar to Skillshare, Udemy also has a trial period, and if you do not like the course, you can return it within 30 days and get your refund. They also provide certification.
There are many other websites like Envato tuts, Coursera, etc. where you can find similar courses.
